Astrotourism
Organised astronomy camps, telescope nights and stays under dark skies.
Our work began with the organised nights under the stars in Shebenik. Through Shebenik Egnatia Explorers and later Star Campers Albania, we created the first organised format for astronomy camping in Albania: telescope observation, stays in nature, education and the involvement of local hosts. It is an achievement we are proud of.
That experience led to the creation of PERSEID. As a non-profit organization, we want to use it to develop programmes that connect the night sky with an understanding of nature, awareness of light pollution and opportunities for rural communities.
