Star Campers Kids and the HARE Centre

A camp with the HARE Centre in Voskopoja, where nature, curiosity and cooperation were part of the same day.

Star Campers Kids took the experience of exploring nature to children and young people. At camp they learn by trying for themselves: they raise tents, explore the environment, work in groups and observe the sky with a telescope. Time away from screens gives them room to ask questions, make friends and gain more confidence in themselves.

Part of this work has been carried out in cooperation with the HARE Centre, through the Star Campers Kids – HARE programme, with the stars in Voskopoja. Joining our experience in astrotourism with HARE’s educational work created a camp where nature, curiosity and cooperation were part of the same day.

For PERSEID this is a field we want to develop further. Alongside the camps, we are developing open classes with young people, so that knowledge of nature, the use of telescopes and care for the environment become reachable experiences for more children.
